Debbi Mason was born and raised in Miami, FL, and attended college in Boone NC, playing collegiate volleyball and getting lost in the woods while managing her studies. During this time, her early work with adjudicated youth on wilderness treks sparked a lifelong interest in supporting young people’s growth and development. After college, Debbi moved to Boulder CO, gaining her teaching credential. She taught middle and high school math for 10 years at private and public schools before deciding to move into school counseling. 

Debbi thoroughly enjoyed 10 years advocating for adolescents as a school counselor before getting her clinical license. She has worked for a several mental health organizations in Bend and is excited to bring her passion for combining education and counseling to our students at Potentia Academics. 

In addition to coaching, teaching and counseling, Debbi loves talking about bikes, kayaks, and traveling the globe. She has been married for 20 years to a fellow outdoor enthusiast, and has 2 amazing teen daughters.
