Rebekah Johnson MA
Educational Therapist & Academic Coach
Rebekah Johnson partners with students to develop the skills, strategies, and confidence they need to succeed both academically and personally.
Before entering education, Rebekah built a broad global career in nonprofit leadership, business operations, and international advocacy. She has supported refugee resettlement initiatives across Africa, managed complex nonprofit operations and high-value assets in the U.S., and led multi-department teams and large-scale projects in fast-growing organizations in California and Colorado. In each role, she streamlined systems, provided strategic direction, and mentored others—experiences that gave her firsthand insight into how thoughtful, responsive approaches enable individuals to strengthen planning, organization, problem-solving, and self-management skills that support long-term success. This naturally led her into educational therapy, where she now guides students in developing the same executive function skills she once cultivated in adults.
Since 2018, Rebekah has worked as an educational therapist, teacher, and literacy interventionist, partnering with students and families to implement tailored, adaptive learning strategies that foster both academic achievement and personal resilience. She provides evidence-based interventions, executive function coaching, and literacy support, helping students build clarity, confidence, and enduring growth. Her approach is collaborative and student-centered, grounded in the understanding that each learner’s journey is unique and that learning is a process of continual discovery.
Rebekah holds a Professional Certificate in Educational Therapy from the University of California, Riverside, a B.A. from Hawaii Pacific University, and an M.A. in International Human Rights Law from the American University in Cairo. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, and adventuring with her husband, two kids, and two pups.
